Melba's fashion Meme

WHEN I was 1, my parents dressed me in...
a short maroon wool-knit dress with white tights. The dress had little pom-poms attached to strings hanging from the collar -hmmm sounds dangerous, but it was kinda cute.

WHEN I was 5, I dressed myself in...
My sister and I had matching jumpsuits. Mine was purple and hers was orange i think. I think mine had a picture of a butterfly across the front and a zipper that went up from the waist to my neck. I remember it being very comfortable. I could dress myself in this because it was easy to get on and the zip was at the front. We also had a velvet jacket and pant suit each, mine purple again and hers was red. I liked this too, it was comfy and warm.

WHEN I was 7, my favourite outfit was...
A nylon, short halter-neck dress. It was purple (again - gee, I had a lot of purple stuff, but then again I was never into pink and frills) with a paisley pattern. I loved how this dress felt against my skin - so smooth.

MY favourite school photo outfit was...
I don't remember having one in primary school but my year 7 photo I was wearing my very short school uniform - my skin was tanned, my hair was naturally blonde and I was slim - ahhh those were the days. I looked happy and content

IN high school the fashion trend I started was...
I didn't. I was so quiet and such a follower.

ON my first date the outfit I wore was...
I didn't really date, but the day I met my first 'boyfriend' I was wearing a tight singlet and shorts and wearing them as bathers! I've kept the singlet - it was a red, white and blue striped tank top!

FOR my high school formal I wore...
We didn't really have a formal but more of a dinner at some hall somewhere. I wore an aqua and white jumpsuit with a wide white belt and white court shoes with a low heel. I loved that jumpsuit.

AT my 21st I wore...
A leather jacket and jeans. My mum had given me $300 to buy a myself a leather jacket so we went to the markets and I chose a stone washed brown jacket with a button at the bottom.

THE oldest item of clothing I still wear is...
a bright orange large t-shirt with the words "I dived the Great Barrier Reef" on it. Bought when I was on holiday in Port Douglas in 1993, it's a bit of a lie, because even though I've snorkelled, I've never actually dived. I only wear it occasionally around the house. It's faded and ripped, so not a good look outside.

THE item of clothing I wish I still had was...
a pair of soft brown lace up boots. I think they got too small for my feet which got bigger after I'd gotten pregnant.

MY current favourite item of clothing is...
My Rockman charcoal jeans, size 12 people.! I haven't bought anything in a size 12 since I don't know when! They're a little stretchy, tightish and make my legs look good.
