The Shit - just get it out already.
~ I hate this place. It's dirty and hot as opposed to clean and hot at home in Australia.
~ I'm lonely and crave attention.
~ The education system stinks and is rigid and redundant.
~ Ex's computer is broken and I hope it can be fixed because I don't think he can afford to buy another one - it's at least 5 years old already.
~ Getting up early is a bitch.
~ Getting daughter to complete homework is turning into a daily battle.
~ I'm picking up and dropping kids off 4 times a day, or so it seems and haven't yet gotten around to visit the autistic centre for any significant amount of time due to the changed school times. Last year I visited after I'd dropped both kids off at school. Now I drop one kid off and pick one kid up and then have to take her back home for lunch, so it's difficult to then go back out and visit the teachers there.
The Good stuff.
~ My bouncy little boy is buoyant enough for us both. We braved the dentist yesterday and his teeth are doing well. It's not my fault he gets cavities easily as he was diagnosed with dental dysplasia in Australia. This was turning into one of those situations where everyone was blaming 'the mother' for giving the child a bad diet and not taking care of his teeth.
~ My girl said she's not angry that I went back in 07 and she understands why I needed to go. I love her more than life itself.
~ Ex said I do a fantastic job with the kids and he can see that our kids are better off, and better behaved than most.
~ I made my friend laugh yesterday with something I said. I love making her laugh. We both had a good laugh over a menu at the cafe we were at when we spotted a typing error that had turned "popcorn chicken" into "porn corn" - hmmm.... interesting and hysterical!!!! I love the English language errors here.
When I got back two weeks ago, I spent most of my time angry and unsettled and wanting to be back home. Now it's only about 50% of the time, so it's getting better. Getting better slowly. Take it as it comes. Don't think about the past or the future, focus on what I want and get through this. Just get through this. There'll be time for me to move on later. Yes, later will come. Just focus on the now.
