~ Feeling relaxed and watching whatever I like on tv, while the kids play quietly together in their room, while ex is away.
~ Waking up in the early hours to my son or daughter crawling into bed with me.
~ Having a sleep over in mummy's bed.
~ 4 warm cups of milo, 8 cookies and a family of four having supper together before the kids go to bed.
~ routine, routine, routine.
~ sms messages from my mum when she misses us.
~ being with family when we're not angry. (daughter's contribution)
~ 3 bodies lying around on a Saturday morning sharing and reading books and the latest magazines that mum has sent over for the kids.
~ Junie B books. (son's contribution)
~ making mistakes and knowing the world will not end.
~ hearing one young autistic girl say her first 3 word sentence on the same day that she used her hands to pat her knees and participate in the "Hello everybody" song (it's been a long time coming).
~ seeing a certain young student of mine go from scribbling lines to tracing letters to almost writing his name independently.
~ seeing my two young students sit and play a game with me and look as normal as any other four year olds - well done you guys, I'm proud of you.
~ supper with friends, late at night, talking about anything and everything.
~ knowing who I am and liking myself.
What a change!!!
