8.50 this morning, my son comes rushing into my room, the urgency in his voice making me wake straight up and get out of bed. To hear this:
"Mum, come quick, come, on, come, please, the (pay tv) remote has run out of batteries."
Ugggh. I think my kids watch too much tv.

Crisis is a relative term, isn't it? This morning, the blood curdling screams from my two year old were because he wanted me to move his tricycle from the back yard to the deck, something he could actually have just done himself. Other recent emergencies include one of my children wanting help to put his sandals on, the chain slipping off a bike, any toy running out of batteries, a strap coming off a pair of binoculars and, of course, the time when I went upstairs for 10 seconds to get some socks and failed to take along both children, mostly because they both said they wanted to stay downstairs and play with their toys.
If you're worried about too much TV, I'm worried about over-use of computers. I think I have already told this story on my blog, but I am still appalled that my four year old, having completed the first hole in his first ever game of mini-golf, announced that he was off to try 'the next level'.
LOL, your kids are just so funny. I worry about computers too. My 6 year old knows how to search google, get on to youtube and then watch his favourite wiggles videos - trouble is, some of those videos are like gangsta rap singing and the wiggles dancing - not really suitable language for a 6 year old. I had to stop him, lest some sicko come out with some Wiggle porn or other perverted stuff.
Cheers
