OK, so I've settled down and I'm well and truly entrenched back into reality. Early mornings, late sleep ins after dropping off daughter, cooking, cleaning and a bit of teaching here and there.
Adam in the flesh has faded back into Adam on youtube and it's OK. I met another woman at the concert and have since 'friended' her on facebook so now I have someone to share the Adam love with. She's just as fervent a fan and it's good to be able to gush about him to someone who understands. Ahh, the things we do to distract ourselves from reality.
So as I drift back down from the cloud of glitter, my view on my life is once again coming back into the focus that I need it to be in. My life is not that bad. There are people who are worse off than me. My job is helping those around me. My friends are happy for me that I had a good time in KL and I made some new friends. I have friends here who care about me. Ex is a decent human being who has helped me get my stupid bed fixed and I can see he is trying to pull himself together. I can still enjoy my kids because they are young enough to want to be with me. Lots of good things.

And I found out why my son was getting all mad and flustered about me going to KL. Don't know if I've already written about this but anyway, it was because from his point of view, he thought that I loved Adam Lambert more than I loved him. What a sweetie. And when I looked around me, it wasn't a difficult conclusion to come to. The Glambert is on my desktop, is the wallpaper for my mobile phone screen and I listen to his music nearly everyday. So I made some changes. I changed the desktop to a cuter picture of my son, took off the wallpaper from my phone and kept my music to myself - and then told him if Adam walked away and I never heard from him again, it wouldn't matter, but if he did that, I'd be the saddest mummy on earth. That seemed to help him a bit.
Then today I said this: "Oh, I'm so proud of you ADAM...uhhh, yiethen...."
Good grief... I'm so glad he didn't melt down on the spot - he would have had good reason to. Sheesh, I can be a real idiot sometimes.

Today, I have my full voice back. It's taken 4 whole days to come back to full volume. I must be getting old. I really didn't think I screamed THAT loud. Well, maybe I did.

The Indonesian haze arrived around midday today. It was a clear morning but then about 11.30, the air started to smell acrid and I thought someone was burning off. When I went to take the son to school, I almost choked. A thick haze of smog had settled heavily on our smelly little town, making it stink even more. It's catching in my throat, making me cough and my throat feels dry all the time. I can even feel it's stench in my nose. It came in really fast, within a matter of hours. Lets hope tomorrow is a better day and the wind pushes it away from us. Yucko.

Ex has decided to take us to Universal Studios in Singapore for a 3D2N holiday just before we come to Melbourne. It's going to be interesting and probably... fun. But people, you have to PLAN for these things. A lot to see and do in a little bit of time, as we'll only actually be there for a day. But plan I will, right down to the last meal. Ex has taught me that , if nothing else, you must plan these things to get the most out of the experience. Hmmm, I'm reading this a bit later and wondering why I have to plan it... it's not my holiday!

Now off to get my daughter some help for her damn chinese homework. Then, while ex gets dinner for the kids (cos I FORGOT to shop so now I can't cook), I will go teach my class, go out for dinner with my friends and try not to blabber too much about you-know-who and then dance the rest of the evening away with my dance instructor. Home at midnight.
See, life is not too bad.
And Melba, thinking of you. I hope the flatness doesn't last too long.
And Nicola, thanks for sharing your comments. :)

Hey you nice to read you have come out the other end of the Adam Frenzy with equilibrium.
I'm good today, slowly climbing out of my flatness. Just typical post-holiday blech, I'm sure it happens to most?
Today the weather has been sweet and that always helps.
Hugs from Melbourne-Town.

PS Your Adam fixation reminds me of my own Adam fixation. Another who wore makeup and was very sexy, but in 1981!!!!
Yeah, I recall reading about your Adam fixation! My sis had the same crush.
Glad to hear you're also coming out of the post holiday blech and that the weather is good. I'm so looking forward to the sweet smell of fresh air.
Hugs.
